Maya Chen is a Melbourne-based illustrator whose work lives at the intersection of street culture and fine art. After graduating from RMIT's illustration program, she spent three years working in editorial illustration before founding her own studio. Her collaboration with decanted began in 2026 when she approached us with a series of abstract portraits that captured the spirit of Australian coastal life. The result was our best-selling Artist Series No.1, which sold out in 47 minutes. Maya's work is characterized by bold color choices, fluid linework, and an ability to distill complex emotions into striking visual compositions.
